They say that men look their best as they grow older. Picture a wealthy successful man, in his mid-forties with a handsome and refined face. What can go wrong with this picture is him being out of shape, obese or with health problems. Diet and exercise are extremely important for men as well because men are prone to a lot of health risks like diabetes, high blood pressure, heart diseases and many more. Proper diet and exercises help not only with looking and feeling good but also impacts the longevity as well as quality of health and life. Simple, easy and everyday healthy habits can have a strong impact in the long run. There are a lot of tips a man can follow on proper diet and exercise that are inexpensive, committable and good for him.

Always eat foods filled with protein and a good amount of carbs: foods like vegetables have the protein and carbs that our body requires. Also lean meat, fish and fruits are very healthy and will provide you with the strength and energy and will help you lose weight. Fruits and vegetables will detoxify you and help you to feel better with a natural metabolism. Avoid processed meat and canned foods at all times as they are not organic and have a lot of chemicals that can be harmful.

Protein shakes: protein shakes consist of a lot of healthy nutrients that a man’s body requires. You can have a protein shake before or after a workout. They are the best supplement for energy and also if you happened to skip a meal.

Always eat after you work out: your body loses a lot of calories and weight and you need to recover it by eating after the workout. To avoid fatigue and pain, a good healthy meal is the key. Ideally people drink a protein shake to recover quickly.

Weight lifting: to reduce fat and gain muscles, doing a 30 minute weight lifting program every day is ideal. If you are new to workout routines always take it slow and under the guidance of a trainer.

Not many men are fans of the gym, so in that case going swimming, hiking or cycling with friends or family is a great alternative. The key is to keep your body exposed to a physical workout which you consider fun and practical in your daily schedule. Also keep your effort consistent to be able to achieve your goal of looking good. Keep a tab on what you eat and how long you exercised daily or weekly and don’t stray from it. The results are just right around the corner so don’t ever give up hope.

A lifelong commitment is required to looking good. With many factors like stress and midlife crisis playing a toll with our lives, we need to live a healthy mind and body to be able to tackle any situation. And also, to become the most eligible bachelor in town, at any given age of our lives.
